Dear CQHYA,
I'm Kelsey Urban and I'm honored to serve as your 2012 CQHYA President. I'm looking forward to another successful year for CQHYA! We have a great group of Board members and Officers who represent more than six different barns and trainers in Connecticut. After our first board and officers meeting I know this is a great group of young ladies. We are ready to begin our year at CQHYA with new ideas, goals and enthusiasm.This year we plan to invite new youth member into CQHYA with the hope that they take advantage of all CQHYA has to offer. I and the other older youth have gotten so much out of being a part of CQHYA, and we hope that younger youth will join CQHYA and experience all that we have. We would also like to focus on building a strongly connected group of youth who support each other and are friends both in and out of the show ring. Many of us come from different barns but CQHYA and our love of riding and showing brings us together. As part of our mission to bring youth together we hope to hold a youth social. We also hope to send a team of Connecticut youth to represent us at the the Region 6 Championship Show, the All American Quarter Horse Congress, and the AQHA Youth World Championship Show. Being a part of any of our teams is a great experience. We encourage all youth who are planning to attend these shows to consider representing CQHYA.
We will start off the year with our banner sale. The CQHYA Banner of Support will be displayed at all of our CQHA shows. By purchasing a line on the banner contributors will be helping to support youth teams at the World Show and Congress. Please contact a CQHYA board member or officers for more information or if you would like to purchase a line. Thank you for all your support.
I can't wait for another great year for CQHYA. I wish you all the best this coming show season! I will see you all soon, and happy riding!
