Horseman's Conference 2012 Banquet Info President’s Message Looking back on 2011, CQHA had a great year. The new Riding for Rewards program was a huge hit among exhibitors; people had a lot of fun and really enjoyed the exhibitor dinners and cook outs. The Barn Baskets were well received and the desserts presented in the dessert cook off were delicious. It was great that everyone got to taste them. This year the Battle of the Barns ran throughout the season in three phases with the winners to be announced, prizes given, at the banquet in February. The three phases were Barn Baskets, Dessert Cook Off and the ever popular Duckie Contest. The new Trainer Division is in its first year and hopefully it too, will be something new CQHA offers. CQHA is always striving to provide its members with programs and events to keep our association on the cutting edge. We have a fantastic group of board members who take a lot of their time volunteering to achieve just that. So if you have the chance, I hope you will mention to them all the good things happening in CQHA. The Banquet is just around the corner! February 4th. Let’s hope for good weather. The banquet promises to be fun for everyone, come cheer your friends on as they receive awards for hard work in the show pen, meet your directors, play a little game and win great prizes and best of all, have a fabulous meal and visit with your fellow CQHA members! Past President, Amy Rader is putting the final touches on her project that I know will be a valuable asset to CQHA. It is the first of its kind for us. The CQHA Guidebook will feature showing CQHA guidelines, contacts, basic rules, “how to”, Conn. Professional Horsemen and so much more…It is scheduled to be completed and published just prior to the banquet.
