SEPTEMBER SHOW HAPPENINGS
Be part of the excitement at the last show of the CQHA season. Thursday night starts the youth scavenger hunt. See Brooke Watson or Mallory Stimson to play. Over the course of the weekend the third event in our Battle of the Barns: the Rubber Duck Olympics. Look for events on both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday night is the CQHA Annual Meeting. Be sure to cast your vote to keep CQHA moving forward. On Sunday, join us to remember Maureen Colburn with the Annual Maureen Colburn Showmanship Challenge, and later on Sunday a non-pro Hunter Under Saddle futurity. Paybacks in both classes.
CQHA will be raffling off a quilt made by Powder Brook Farm customer Kathy Ezell. The quilt will be on display in the show office on Friday and Saturday. Tickets are $5.
CQHA ANNUAL MEETING AND GENERAL ELECTIONS!!
Come one, Come all and let your voice be heard! The CQHA Annual Meeting and General Election will be held Saturday September 11 after the last class.
The 4 CQHA Officer positions and 3 Board of Director seats are open. Nominations will be made from the floor. Must be a member in good standing to run or vote.

Come join the excitement as part of next year's Board! Join a committee! Come hear what the candidates have to say and cast your vote!
Rubber Duck Olympics!!
"Make way for Ducklings" as CQHA members join together for a fun, social event throughout the September show. Get your barn together or link up with friends to be a team. Events include "Chuck a Duck", a Duck Relay, and "Ducks on Parade." Prizes will be awarded in each event and the overall winner will earn Battle of the Barn points.
cost? $5 per team (to cover the cost of ducks and prizes)
pre-planning? Before the big event you will need a team name or theme and items with which to decorate your ducks. We will provide the ducks. You provide the creativity. "Ducks on Parade" will be a presentation of your duck team before the Annual Meeting on Saturday night. Humor and creativity will be rewarded.
why? It promises to be a fun, social, interactive event for everyone. Don't miss out.
Trophy Collection:
Do you have a CQHA Challenge or Perpetual Trophy? Now is the time to turn them in! Please bring your trophy to the September CQHA show and turn it into the show office. Not coming to the show? Please send the trophy with a friend. We need these trophies to make the 2010 awards presentations.

Fun Times at the First Show ~
CQHA and Falls Creek Farm hosted the first show of the FCF season. It was great to see friends again after a LONG cold winter. Thanks to Showstring for the great wine and cheese party and to all the barns for the “Battle of the Barns” baskets which were raffled off. Congratulations to Garry McAllister and Good To Be Radical (owned by Katherine Hug), winners of the Green Trail Challenge.
